Overview

“Uncertainty triggers fear,” he says. “People are freaking out and wondering, ‘What does this mean for my company, my job, and my future?’” Your role as a Leader is to “project confidence and strength.” (credit: Harvard Business Review) Confidence in your own decision making, and confidence in the decision making of your team (decision making has become the hidden casualty of COVID-19). For your team, change is inevitable, and growth is optional. The struggle for every human in 2020 is the lack of clarity of what the future holds, and what part they will need to play in that future. Leaders who can communicate with empathy, who can relate to the ‘pause and panic’ versus ‘adapt and adopt’ emotional struggle, and who can have a forward focus with a positive mind set, will be set up to win in 2020. Leaders, this is your time to shine, never has it been more important for you to demonstrate what it takes to make a difference, and to grow a high performing team!
